How to remove Adware Generic5.ARIH Virus?

Hello. Yesterday I got a Trojan horse virus called Adware Generic5.ARIH on my Dell laptop with Win 7 Home Premium and ZoneAlarm firewall. AVG anti virus notified me but could not removed it. I tried to fix it but no luck. Is there an effective and simple way that is able to catch and remove Trojan horse Generic_r.CIW virus completely? Any help will be appreciated.
